Meet Martina Kwan
Two-time international best-selling author, three-time champion race car driver, Emmy and Telly award winner. She helps women remember who they are and fear nothing.
The Story
Destined for a life that was different
I did not become fearless by accident.
Born in Hong Kong to a German mother and a Chinese father, Martina spent her childhood in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Living in war-torn Beirut between the ages of eight and ten is the experience she credits for much of the fearlessness she is known for today. Her unique path in life shaped her into a woman of drive and determination.
After earning two Master of Science degrees, she built a career in the male-dominated worlds of finance and accounting in New York City, with KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Wall Street's Lehman Brothers, before landing senior management roles with Ian Schrager's Hudson Hotel and Paramount Hotel.
Her entrepreneurial spirit eventually pulled her out of the corporate world. She founded So! Animation, which earned Emmy and Telly awards, and then Neoteric Luxury Outdoor Collections, an award-winning furniture company.
Anything is possible at any age, if you believe in yourself.
Daring to Be Different
At 50, she became a race car driver.
Proving that it is never too late, Martina took an occasional hobby and turned it into a professional racing career. Since her debut as the world's only female Chinese-European race car driver, she has become a three-time champion in a male-dominated category in her Porsche 911, set track records in each of her Porsche classes, and won first place for the majority of the years she has raced.
She is an FIA licensed driver who raced professionally in the GT World Challenge, podiuming twice in seven races.

Helping women fear nothing
A mother of two daughters, Martina's mission is to help people, and women especially, find the courage to dare to be different, remember who they are, and fear nothing as they step into a new life of happiness and fulfillment. Her message is simple: it is never too late to accomplish anything, at any age.
She is a Certified Champion Mindset, Confidence, Abundance and Manifestation Coach and the CEO of Daring to Be Different Coaching, where she offers 1:1 and group coaching. She leads her signature FIERCE Confidence Women's Retreats, and she is the owner of DK Racing School, the world's first 100% woman-owned racing school open to the public.
Martina lives in Los Angeles, holds both US and British citizenships, is fluent in English and German, and is available to speak globally.
